Mount Lavinia

12 km from Colombo is a historical city known for its British colonial heritage. The Governors House of Sir Thomas Maitland, built in 1805, has become a star class hotel today (Known as the Mount Lavinia Hotel).

Kalutara

The city is considered as one of the sacred city of Buddhist people in the country and has large hollow dagoba (Buddhist shrine) near the River Kalu.

Weligama

Weligama is a unique Bay and Beach with a wide and long sandy beach located in the Southern province close to Mathara town. The Bay is famous for its Stilt Fishermen Devil Dance Shows and its seafood. Weligama is also a wonderful Scuba Diving and Surfing Location.

Polhena

Polhena is an ideal place for Scuba Diving, Surfing, and Sunbathing. There is a natural swimming pool created by the coral reef.

Hikkaduwa

Is one of the first areas to be developed for tourism in Sri Lanka. Hikkaduwa became famous for its coral reef and tourists enjoy scuba diving there

Koggala

Is situated between Galle and Matara, 130 km from Colombo, has one of the finest beaches in Sri Lanka and historical island called “Madol Duwa” (island surrounded by lake) as mentioned in Sri Lankan literature.

Tangalle

Tangalle is situated in the Southern District of Hamabanthota closer to Mathara. It is a beautiful and natural palm fringed sea bay and a Fishing Harbor which offers glorious sea food. Its best attractions are the long and sandy beach and the coral reef. The Dutch Fort built with corals is now used as a prison.

Trincomalee

Trincomalee which is situated in the East Coast is a world famous natural deep-water harbor that attracted great explorers and travelers such as Marco Polo, Ptolemy and Sea Traders from China and East Asia during ancient times. The long and wide beaches offer surfing, scuba diving and fishing and whale watching. This sea town has the largest Dutch fortress of Sri Lanka and arguably the oldest Hindu temple (Tirukonesvaram Kovil) in Sri Lanka.

Nilaveli

Nilaveli beach is close to Trincomalee.  The natural habour and beach is one of finest in world. Nilaveli is the ideal place for scuba diving.

Batticaloa

Batticaloa is situated in the east coast of Sri Lanka with a great lagoon and beach with a fascinating culture of the east. A  Fort built by the Dutch in 1665 is visible near the Batticoloa Lagoon.

Arugam Bay

Situated in the South East area of Sri Lanka and has been identified as the best surfing beach in Sri Lanka and 4th best in South East Asia. It also one of the Ten Best Surfing beaches in the world. Wide sandy beaches and lagoons and the neighboring Kumana bird sanctuary are added attractions. Lahugala National Park and Yala East National Park are also located within 10–30 km radius from Arugambay centre. Magul Maha Viharaya (Buddhist temple), Kudumbigala Temple (Buddhist temple), Shastrwela Buddhist Temple, Okanda Hindu Temple are some of places with heritage values.

Casuarina Beach

Casuarina Beach which is in Karainagar, Jaffna District is about 20 kilometers from Jaffna of Northern Province. It once again becoming a popular tourist destination, after the 30 year civil war

Kilali Beach

Kilali Beach is situated in Kilali, Jaffna District of Northern Province. It is famous for local Tamil sea food dishes.

Vankalai

Vankalai is a major fishing village in Mannar, of Northern Province with a beautiful beach.
